About Jon Pope
Jon Pope is a licensed contractor in New York City. His company, Jon Pope Construction has been building and renovating residential and commercial properties for 15 years. He works closely with his clients, architects, and designers to make each space unique and special.
Originally from Syracuse, NY, Jon moved to NYC in 2002 to work as the construction manager for The Music Garage in Brooklyn. Originally an auto-body shop Jon and the property owner transformed the building into 36 individual music rehearsal and production studios in Williamsburg Brooklyn.
In 2004, Jon traveled to Chicago to build a second Music Garage. The building was originally a paper factory and together with a large construction team they transformed the 65,000 square foot building in a 5-story music facility. Jon’s research into acoustic tuning contributed to the specialized design of each studio, whether it is for a small ensemble, recording studio, or large touring production.
Upon returning to NYC, Jon began custom cabinet-making and small residential renovations as he started his company, Jon Pope Construction.
Since then he has specialized in full renovations of brownstones and houses throughout Brooklyn and Manhattan. He also enjoys transforming outdoor spaces with custom roof and backyard decks. In many of his projects he designs and builds custom shelving and storage. From small apartments to large buildings Jon has created beautiful living environments for all his clients.
